Missing Person: Randall Ward, Male, Native Place: MinnesotaEden Prairie, Date of Birth: 09/27/1952, Randy Ward, who was 58 at the time, left his Eden Prairie, MN home on June 21, 2011 on an Indian Motorcycle to Fort Lauderdale, FL. His family was unaware of his plans. He rented a 24-foot Hurricane Sundeck boat from the Bahia Mar Resort & Yachting Center marina in Fort Lauderdale about 9 a.m. on Tuesday June 26, 2011, according to the Coast Guard. About 10 p.m., a marina employee called authorities to say he was supposed to return by 7 p.m. but never s howed up. Several Coast Guard crews launched a search and found the rented boat floating about 7 miles off the coast of Lake Worth, Florida about 1 a.m., according to Fort Lauderdale Police. The boat appeared to have some mechanical problems, & authorities said a rope was wrapped around the propeller. Randy was the kind of guy who would jump in the water to try to fix it.
